My art expresses the interweaving of my creativity with the ease of enjoyment of working in multiple mediums.  Ranging in scope from representational to abstract, my artistic style is ever evolving. I tend to paint colors boldly with line and textural marks for maximum impact.

My confidence grows as I move my tools and materials until a world of color emerges to express my thoughts. Encaustic or cold wax, acrylics and pastels travel by hand across canvas, paper or board as spirit and energy move me forever forward. The body of work reflects my desire to always learn more and to perfect my art as I pursue my creative journey.

Like a butterfly, each piece reflects change, metamorphosis and growth with the eye of the beholder stopping to glance at steps I have traveled along my artistic path. When I express myself well, I know that I have completed a work that others may enjoy.

I learned early, as the eldest of fourteen children, that all goals require dedication, focus, resourcefulness and patience. As I embraced my innate creativity, I pursued a design degree and started a successful Interior Design business where each room became its own unique canvas.

Now in retirement and living in Biltmore Lake, I am inspired every day by my family and the beauty that surrounds me. My art reflects that sweet time alone to embrace my inner thoughts and the natural beauty that inspires and informs my creative endeavors.
